Jenna Fischer is best known for her role as Pam Beesly on the acclaimed TV show The Office For her role, she won the Emmy nomination for Best Supporting Actress as well as two SAG Awards for Outstanding Performance from the Ensemble Comedy.
Her birthplace was Fort Wayne, Indiana, but her family was primarily from St. Louis, Missouri. Jenna was awed by her mother, Anne, perform in the church when she was young and was able to instill a love of theater and performance.
She's a trained actress who was back in theater following The Office. She starred with Josh Hamilton Leslie Bibb Fred Weller in Neil LaBute's Off Broadway play Reasons for Being Happy. The play was followed by her participation as the first woman to appear in Steve Martin's latest play Meteor Shower, an absurdist comedy starring Greg Germann and Josh Stamberg, for a record-breaking show on The Old Globe Theatre.
The Office star Angela Kinsey's best friend in real life and Fischer started her own podcast, the Office Ladies podcast, on Earwolf at the end of October 2019. The podcast soon was a hit. Every week, it was in the Top Ten in global downloads, with over 200 million downloads in its initial two years. In the beginning of January, 2021, Office Ladies won iHeart Radio's Podcast of the Year award.
She is also co-author of Office BFF's Tales of The Office from Two Best Friends there. The memoir deals with their relationship and working together for The Office.
