Kristen Noel Kristy Swanson gained world-wide recognition as Buffy Summers. In the cult classic Buffy the Vampire Slayer, she played Rebecca Becky Granger. A native of California she was attracted to acting as a young girl. Her acting career began by appearing in numerous commercials. She appeared in an episode in the NBC sitcom It's Your Turn in 1984. The following year, in the romantic comedic Pretty in Pink of 1986 She made her major-screen debut. Swan gained notoriety for her gorgeous blonde lisp and breathless voice. Recently, she's shifted from main roles to secondary characters. Flowers in the Attic won her the Young Artist Award in the category of Best Young Actress in Horror or Mystery Motion Picture in 1989.
