Anna Leigh Ashford

Annaleigh Amanda Ashford, an American actress and singer. As a young actress, she appeared in Broadway performances, she starred her role in Wicked Legally Blonde Hair. in You Can't Take It With You She was the recipient of the Tony Award as Best Featured actor in a Play. Annaleigh Ashford is a Tony Award winner actor has worked with many famous directors and actors on stage and screen. Ashford continues to build on her award-winning career through her forthcoming projects. Ashford's upcoming project is a limited edition Hulu series called Welcome to Chippendales, created by Robert Siegel. The show will premiere on the 22nd of November and Ashford is starring alongside Kumail Najiani. Ashford is currently working for Searchlight Pictures' horror thriller Dust starring opposite Sarah Paulson and Ebon Moss-Bachrach. The film is a Hulu Original and will be streaming on Disney DTC. Ashford, who will appear alongside Josh Groban on Broadway's Lunt-Fontanne Theatre in the March 2023 production of Stephen Sondheim's Sweeney Todd. Thomas Kail (director) and Jeffrey Seller (producer), the same duo who produced Hamilton directed the musical. Ashford's most recent performance was Paula Jones on Ryan Murphy FX's American Crime Story Impeachment. It is based upon the nationwide scandal that involved Paula Jones Monica Lewinsky, as well as Linda Tripp. Her two seasons on CBS show B Positive was her first major role. The show was written by Marco Pennette, Chuck Lorre and Linda Lavin. The show also had Ben Vereen and Elizondo. Her additional Broadway performances includes Sunday in the Park with George Wicked Legally Blonde and her first role as Lauren In Kinky Boots a performance for which she also received a Tony Award nomination. Ashford is a native of Denver. She was born and brought up in Denver is now based between Los Angeles and New York.
